MARKET CONSIDERATIONS

Our device will be readily available to consumers living in the United States. There are approximately 135 million households in the United States as of 2017 [1]. Assuming that each household contains at least one (1) first aid kit, and each first aid kit contains at least one (1) small box of bandages, and assuming a MSRP for a small box of bandages to be $2.00 USD, the US market for bandages (excluding hospitals and clinics) is estimated to be around $200 million USD.

There are currently 5,534 registered hospitals in the United States [2], where 7.6 million outpatient surgeries (surgeries that do not require an overnight hospital stay) were performed in 2012 [3].

Since one in five surgery related infections fall under outpatient surgeries, and since outpatient surgeries makeup for over 60% of total operations [4], there is a clear need for our bandage in a hospital setting as well.

The image provided shows that while North America is the region with the largest market for bandages, the other regions make up over 50% of the international market [5]. Our vision is that our product will be available in other countries as well, as soon as our device meets the correct

regulatory standards.
